Weld-on hooks are specialized lifting components designed to be permanently welded onto structures such as crane arms, buckets, or custom lifting frames. They provide a safe and reliable connection point for lifting heavy loads and are widely used in construction and industrial applications where precision and safety are critical.
Features and application of weld-on hooks
Our weld-on hooks are manufactured from high-strength steel and are CE certified, confirming compliance with strict European safety and quality requirements. Once a weld-on hook has been attached to a structure, Belgian regulations require the complete assembly to be re-inspected and load tested in accordance with the applicable standards. This ensures that the modified equipment remains safe and fit for use.
During welding, it is essential to proceed in controlled stages so that the hook temperature does not exceed 280°C. Exceeding this limit may negatively affect the material properties and reduce the strength of the hook. Proper welding practice ensures a durable and reliable connection.
Each weld-on hook is fitted with a heavy-duty forged safety latch that securely retains the load. The latch features a robust contact point within the hook, with reinforced hinge and spring mechanisms. This construction allows the weld-on hook to perform reliably under high loads and in harsh operating conditions, making it well suited for intensive industrial use.
