Harp Lock Bolt and Nut
Shackles fitted with a bolt and nut are primarily used in permanent lifting installations. Our shackles are manufactured from high-quality, hot-dip galvanized steel that offers excellent resistance to ageing and corrosion. The bolt and nut are marked with a distinctive colour for easy identification and visual inspection.
Harp locks provide the advantage of a wider body profile, allowing greater internal space for components such as the eyes of slings or lifting straps. Their convex shape also makes it possible to pass an axle or pin through the shackle, increasing versatility in lifting configurations.
Our range of DEE and bow shackles is available in two versions: with a chest bolt or with a bolt and nut. A shackle or DEE fitted with a chest bolt must never be used in a permanent installation.
In applications where maximum safety is required, such as man baskets, a lockable shackle or DEE shackle must always be used. This consists of a bow or DEE shackle fitted with a bolt, nut, and cotter pin to prevent unintentional loosening.
