Coupling plugs

PCE contact material is made of high-quality, durable, and impact-resistant polyamide. Where possible (up to and including 32A), we opt for nickel-plated brass contacts as standard for improved corrosion protection in aggressive environments and high humidity.

An additional advantage is that contact with brass (which contains a small percentage of lead) is prevented (from installation through recycling).

The 63A and 125A plugs and appliance sockets always come standard with nickel-plated brass contacts. The 63A and 125A coupler plugs and wall sockets are equipped with brass and copper-beryllium alloy lamellar contacts. This makes the contacts self-cleaning, strong, and resistant to corrosion and fatigue. A major added benefit is the low contact pressure, allowing for effortless insertion of plugs.
